The best romantic comedies always begin with a meet cute, and it seems like the rumored romance between "I Want You to Know" collaborators Zedd and Selena Gomez was no difference. In a new interview, mega producer/DJ Zedd admitted that he first met Justin Bieber's ex because, well, nature called.
Yes, music's latest couple met because Zedd had to pee.
In a new interview with 97.1 AMP Radio yesterday (Feb. 26), Zedd admitted that he first met his maybe girlfriend in the midst of a shopping trip when he had to go to the bathroom.
"I had the day off... and I decided to go buy stuff for my house because I just moved, so I have an empty house, and I had to pee. I had my engineer with me, so I was like, 'I hope they have a bathroom.' He was like, 'Just go to the studio over there,' which was across the street from my studio. He's like, 'They have a bathroom, just go and use that,'" Zedd explained.
"So I walk in, and John, the head of our label, who had just signed Selena, was there. He was like, 'Have you ever met Selena?' That was literally the next thing he said. So he introduced me to her, and was like, 'Hey, she's cool, maybe we should make a song together.' And then like a week later, we start working on a song. All because I had to pee."
It may not be the best start to any love story, but Zedd and Gomez have proven they have chemistry on and off the mic, releasing the glitzy "I Want You to Know" earlier this week and making the award show circuit together this month.
