After a week of turbulence behind the scenes it has been confirmed that Kelly Osbourne has left E!'s Fashion Police after a five-year run. The young star has been grabbing headlines all week for deciding to purposely set herself apart from former co-host, Giuliana Rancic, rather than having her back. Rancic messed up during the network's Oscar night red carpet coverage and claimed that Zendaya Coleman's dreadlocks likely smelled of patchouli oil and weed. The comments were initially seen as inappropriate, bordering on racist and Osbourne quickly took to her social media to make sure that everyone knew that she didn't support Rancic's comments. That move may have ultimately cost her this gig.

Osbourne threatened to quit Fashion Police if Rancic didn't apologize and ended up leaving even after the apology flowed. The show itself has been a bit of a mess behind the scenes since the death of Joan Rivers last fall. Kathy Griffin was officially named as her replacement, something that Osbourne also reportedly had a problem with. While it's clear that she has been unhappy at Fashion Police for the last several months, there are some rumors that Osbourne was told to quit or else she was going to be fired. Either way, the show is now down another regular and left with Rancic who is still in the hot seat and Griffin, who has yet to make an impact.

Did E! do the right thing in either forcing Osbourne out, or at the very least not fighting to hang onto her? Would you rather have seen Rancic get the boot after her comments last weekend? Does it even matter in the long run, will the show continue on beyond its current season? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
