It has been 14 months since Khloe Kardashian first filed for divorce from Lamar Odom and it seems that one or both of them doesn't want to really legally end their marriage. Last December we had heard that the case was close to being thrown out of court due to inactivity. After Kardashian had initially filed, Odom never responded and although enough time had passed for her to ask the court for a divorce be default, she hadn't done that either. Now it seems that money is at the root of the delay.
According to a report by Hollywood Life, "Khloe and Lamar aren't divorced because Khloe is still fighting him for money. She feels he was the one who screwed her over and he should pay her millions. They are still fighting over a secret joint bank account they had which Lamar emptied when they separated. He's spent all that money and Khloe wants it back. Not only that but she thinks he should pay her half the value of his house in Florida." explains an insider.
While money may sound like a good excuse to drag things out, the reality is that Kardashian has more than enough of her own cash and she certainly doesn't need to drain Odom's bank account. Some seem to believe that this is just a way to keep the divorce tied up rather than making it officially over and done with. At times it seemed like these two were contemplating or even working towards a reconciliation. Any way you look at it, Kardashian doesn't seem to be in any rush to slam the door on her time with Odom. Some insiders have said that since he played such a big part in her life, Kardashian may not know how to officially cut the cord and let Odom go for good.
