Alabama Shakes brought their blend of soulful garage rock to Saturday Night Live over the weekend in advance of their new album. The band performed two new songs -- "Don't Wanna Fight" and "Gimme All Your Love" -- from its upcoming sophomore album Sound & Color. The performances were two major highlights of the late-night sketch show.
The group slinks through the funky intro of "Don't Wanna Fight" in the video below before Brittany Howard makes her way to the microphone. Howard stole the show, wearing some fitting Prince earrings as she ran through the groovy tune.
"Attacking, defending / Until there's nothing left worth winning / Your pride and my pride / Don't waste my time," she sang.
The Shakes went on to debut the new song "Gimme All Your Love." The bluesy ballad showcases Howard's huge voice and impeccable sense of timing. Check that one out below as well.
