Kanye West gave a speech at Oxford University today, March 2, as excited listeners tweeted West quotes under hashtags #YeezOx, #Kanyebelieveit, #KanyeinOxford and #YesweKanye. The So Help Me God rapper stirred a lot of excitement during his lecture.

West has always been one to speak his mind, so it should not come as a surprise that he gave a lecture at England's Oxford University Museum of Natural History.

According to Complex, Abbas Kazmi, chairman of the Oxford Guild, confirmed that a full video of West's speech will be uploaded online. Kazmi was pleased this event came to fruition.

"It is great to see the hard work pay off after having spent many hours negotiating against the odds and keeping things under wraps to secure this event, which is a real coup for the guild, which I am proud to see continuing to grow from strength to strength, reaching even higher heights and winning ever more national awards and accolades," Kazmi revealed, according to Complex.

This lecture comes on the heels of West's big reveal of his album title, So Help Me God, on Twitter over the weekend. Not to forget his recent public apology to Beck for his controversial comments on Beck's Album of the Year win, he apologized via Twitter, saying, "I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I'm sorry Beck."

The anticipated event caused The Oxford Guild to be as strategic as possible in selling tickets. According to its website, students had the ability to add themselves to a waiting list. The staff then randomly selected students from that list on the Eventbrite page created for the lecture. The lucky, randomly selected students had two hours to buy their tickets for 4 pounds.

Those who participated in West's lecture at Oxford University had a lot to say about his speech via Twitter. One attendee under the Twitter handle @Devlodhia tweeted:

"Can you just give him an honorary degree already, @UniofOxford? #YeezOx "

The Tab Oxford (@Thetaboxford) quoted West as saying, "We have the resources as a civilization to make a utopia, but we're led by the most greedy and the least noble."
