If we told you even a year ago that an extremist group was making threats against Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and other company workers you'd barely pay attention, let alone think that it was a serious situation. Unfortunately, after watching groups like ISIS make good on their threats, by threatening and then killing those that they believe are disrupting their plans, it's now necessary to take everything seriously. When ISIS supporters posted a message on Sunday threatening Dorsey for deleting accounts connected to Muslim extremists that have used the social networking site to promote terrorism.

According to a report by Buzzfeed, "Sunday's online message (which was also shared on Twitter) called on ISIS sympathizers to attack the social media company and its "interests."

"For the 'individual jihadi' all over the world, target the Twitter company and its interests in any place, people, and buildings, and don't allow any one of the atheists to survive. Your virtual war on us will cause a real war on you. We told you from the beginning it's not your war, but you didn't get it and kept closing our accounts on Twitter, but we always come back." said the posting.

Twitter's security department is said to be researching the threats but Dorsey and other Twitter executives must be looking over their shoulders. It wasn't that long ago that the staff of Charlie Hebdo also found themselves threatened by extremists and many of them were slaughtered during a staff meeting.

What extra precautions do you think are being taken to keep Dorsey and his staff safe while these threats are investigated? How do you think the U.S. needs to respond to the constant threats being made by ISIS? Do you think that this group is quickly becoming more of a problem than Al Qaeda?
