After weeks of pleading for someone to listen, Nick Gordon will finally get to tell his story to a captive audience. He has been banned from seeing Bobbi Kristina Brown since she was found barely alive in their bathtub Jan. 28 and firmly insists that no foul play was involved. Gordon has reportedly been avoiding police and remains under investigation in the case, but it has now been confirmed that he will sit for an interview with Dr. Phil soon.

TMZ was the first to report the news about the interview, and also how it could turn into a bit of a Catch-22 for Gordon.

"We're told Phil will meet Nick in the next few days and they will set a time for the formal sit-down. We're told the good doctor will ask about his battles with Bobby Brown and family ... battles that have kept him from Bobbi Kristina's hospital bed," and insider said.

"Here's the tricky part. Nick is the target of a criminal investigation that was launched when authorities noticed that Bobbi Kristina had visible injuries. As the saying goes ... whatever Nick says can be held against him, and it would be weird, to say the least, if Nick pled the Fifth on Phil's show," explained an insider.

Gordon for the most part has used his official Twitter account to speak out in recent days. On Bobbi Kristina's 22nd birthday, Gordon posted about wanting to "do myself in," and it was met with a mixed bag of support and venom. He remains locked in a battle with Brown's family, who insist that he was directly involved with whatever led to the medical crisis that she is still facing. As it stands now, there has been no reported change in Bobbi Kristina's condition and she remains in a medically induced coma.
