Well there's no arguing that winter is in full gear, even though some areas of the country don't experience the "wonderland" aspect of it. Snowstorms have come and gone in certain regions already, and more will inevitably make their way across the northern states.

On a Saturday night, when people aren't thinking about clearing their cars out for a morning commute or shoveling sidewalks and driveways, it might be best to stay in, have a cup of hot chocolate (or a hot toddy if you really want to party) and celebrate winter. Or if you're in the sunny, warmer southern regions, you can just pretend. It's not unheard of for people in Los Angeles to wear scarves when it's 60 degrees anyway. It also helps the mood if the Christmas tree and lights are still up.
