Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen is one of the music world's biggest collectors of guitars (those of both legendary performance and eccentric appearance) and now you too can own part of his collection: He'll be selling a portion of collection off through Reverb, a reseller of musical gear (from Rolling Stone).

"I love guitars and guitars love me, but sometimes they need new homes where they can live to rock another day. I've teamed up with my pals here at Reverb to get some gems from my private collection into new hands. From amps and pedals to guitars old and new, if it makes music, I love it and you will too," he wrote. "The first batch of guitars went quick, but stay tuned: there'll be more for sale in the future..."

One item that kept the bidders coming was a 1956 Gibson Les Paul Junior with a Sunburst finish, which went for $5,760. Another item has already passed it: His 1959 Gibson ES-330T is up to $6,800 at the time of publishing, and it still has three days to go (if you want a really excellent guitar with some history behind it).

If you weren't looking explicitly for legendary quality in your guitar, but rather some gnarly additions to your own collection, you may consider some of these offerings: A) The Fender Floral Telecaster, a '90s version of the classic model featuring a blue body filled with a rather '60s-looking floral fill (sold for $2,300), B) a Dean Psychobilly Cabbie, a yellow hollow-body electric guitar with a yellow face and Nielsen's signature black-and-white chessboard trim around the body (sold for $1,750) or C) a pink guitar notably mostly for being titled "F*cker Sh*tblaster" (and for being built by iconic guitarchitect Bill Nash).

One guitar that Rolling Stone noted wasn't going to be for sale anytime soon: The five-necked chessboard guitar that Nielsen has made his signature instrument.
