Tinashe is keeping her fans happy with a healthy dose of music following her major label debut Aquarius. The "2 On" singer has announced a new mixtape titled Amethyst, which will be released on March 16 through Hot New Hip Hop.
The 7-track project will be Tinashe's first mixtape since her 2013 project Black Water that featured Travi$ Scott. Like Black Water, this tape will be largely devoid of features - there aren't any listed in the tracklist at all.
The mixtape will give Tinashe extra material for her current Aquarius tour in Europe that stops in Hamburg, Germany tonight. The rest of the tour will take her to the Scandinavian capitals, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki.
Tinashe recently backed out of The Great Escape Tour with Iggy Azalea because the tour had to be pushed back due to "production issues." All of the tour dates had to moved to the end of the summer and the fall and Tinashe, with the other support act Nick Jonas backed out.
Tinashe has also commented that she is continuing to work on new music, with the intent that she will release another album in 2015. That would be very ambitious with her current tour schedule and this mixtape eating up some of her content, but we will see if she is able to continue the stream of quality music throughout the year.
