Rainn Wilson, better known to some as Dwight from The Office, is the man behind SoulPancake, the creative project that describes itself as being "designed to open your mind, challenge your friends, and feel damn good."

Part of this venture comes in way of Wilson's one-on-one interviews in a series called "Metaphysical Milkshake." He recently sat down with Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler for a talk.

With the obvious comedic flare that resembles Dwight's behavior, Wilson abducts his interviewees (not really, of course) and conducts the program in a van. It's a special van, as Wilson puts it "it can go anywhere that the human heart and mind desire". And it's a safe place, partially because Wilson has a mature beard and took Butler into his arms to comfort him after the initially startling nature of the interview.

The special van transports them back to Haiti, for a bit where Butler and his band have spent some time, played shows and Butler explains that Haitian music has been his biggest influence over the past six years.

In this 9-minute segment, the two talk about Reflektor, obviously. Wilson describes the band's work as "weird, Euro, watered-down disco." And there are some fun tidbits of trivia we learn about Butler, like what his biggest question is about life and how Neil Young shared his wisdom during Thanksgiving dinner.

Butler has appeared on many programs to promote the band's work, and he's no stranger to comedy as he was a standout guest on The Colbert Report, but somehow this interview feels different. Perhaps the confinement of a set resembling the inside of an old, somewhat creepy van was just the right environment for Butler to articulate and share with Wilson.
