Trace Adkins is the next music star to get a SiriusXM show. The weekly Throwback Thirty show launches tomorrow, March 15, on Y2Kountry and will have the singer recapping Billboard's Top 30 country songs, Rolling Stone Country notes. In addition to contemporary hits, Adkins will also review tunes from different years of the new millennium, starting with 2000 tomorrow.

For the inaugural show, Adkins will look at this week's popular country tunes. Sam Hunt currently sits on top of the list followed by Zac Brown Band's new track "Homegrown." Other artists on the list inlcude Blake Shelton with "Lonely Tonight," Cole Swindell with "Ain't Worth the Whiskey" and Lee Brice with "Drinking Class." According to Billboard's archives, popular country songs from the year 2000 included Faith Hill's "Breathe," Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" and Tim McGraw's "My Next 30 Years."

Other country stars who are also involved in the SiriusXM realm include Eric Church, Martina McBride and Steve Earle. Willie Nelson even has his own station, Willie's Roadhouse, which features older country music and some broadcasts about the Red Headed Stranger.

Adkins released his last album, Love Will..., in 2013 (the same year he won Celebrity Apprentice). The effort hit number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart behind singles like "Watch the World End" and "Kiss You All Over."

"The best songs on Love Will ... are throwbacks that a group like Alabama may have cut 25 years ago. There's none of the chest-thumping bravado that Adkins is famous for. Words like 'grit' and 'blue-collar' hardly describe tracks like 'Come See Me,' a signature song," Taste of Country wrote about the album.

Adkins will also appear on the big and small screens soon. The singer will portray a military veteran on NBC's The Night Shift in May. He'll also star opposite Scott Eastwood, Clint Eastwood's son, in a movie titled Roadrunner.
