Fans have been patiently waiting for Curren$y's Pilot Talk 3 album to drop, and the New Orleans rapper recently made an interesting announcement about the project's release. Spitta said his upcoming LP will only be released on a USB drive for $100.

As noted by Vibe, PT3 will not be available on hard copy or on iTunes. For $100, fans will receive a package for the album featuring a jet-shaped USB flash drive, a PT3 long-sleeve shirt and a look book. The album will come pre-loaded on the flash drive along with videos and photos.

The Jet Life rapper has been building buzz for the album with videos for "Audio Dope V" and "Briefcase."

News first broke of the third installment of Pilot Talk last July. Curren$y was originally considering releasing the album last fall. He said things had been stagnant due to legal issues with Dame Dash, who released PT and PT2 on his DD172 label.

Last March, the former Cash Money rapper released The Drive-In Theatre as a BitTorrent Bundle. The tape garnished 3 million downloads with the BitTorrent Bundle accounting for 93 percent of downloads.

"Curren$y is one of the few artists that has maintained a steady underground buzz for years," Austin Briggs, Jet Life's digital marketing strategist, said. "We've taken that buzz and turned it to 11. And we're seeing the response."

Pilot Talk 3 is now slated to be released April 4 and will feature contributions from Ab-Soul, RiFF RaFF, Action Bronson and French Montana.

Looks like Nipsey Hussle, who released his $100 Crenshaw mixtape in October 2013, has some competition.
