As deadmau5 quietly prepares for his performance at the Juno Awards tonight (March 15), his label, mau5trap, is continuing to put out new music from up-and-coming artists on the label. The latest comes from LA-based singer, songwriter Colleen D'Agostino who released her debut EP, Collide, through the "Strobe" producer's imprint. One of the songs on the six-track project, "Stay," features the production work of label head deadmau5.

The single flips the script on the pairs last collaboration, "Seeya" that appeared on Zimmerman's 2014 album while (1<2) and was considered one of the standout tracks from the LP. "Stay" is much different from the funky "Seeya" with its long piano chords and downtempo, progressive feel that plays to the strengths of both artists, noticeably D'Agostino as a vocalist.

Fans may recognize the instrumental from an early deadmau5 vocal titled "Drop The Poptart" that did not make an album, but fit with this track. Listen to the song below on mau5trap's soundcloud.

The LA-based singer spoke to Noisey about her EP and where she drew the inspiration for it.

"I've always been obsessed with 80s fantasy movies like The Labyrinth, The NeverEnding Story, Flight of the Navigator because those movies all have these ethereal dream sequences that I love. I guess growing up a child of the 80s, those themes have found their way into my music too. So Collide is full of dreamy galaxy and outer space themed goodness."

D'Agostino will be joining deadmau5 at the Juno Awards, the Canadian version of the Grammys, tonight to perform "Seeya" alongside the Canadian producer who is nominated for Artist of The Year and Electronic Album of The Year.

The Collide EP will be out "soonish."
