2014 is not off to a good start for Lil' Kim. The rapper is now facing a lawsuit from makeup artist/redditor Samantha Ravndahl after using one of her Instagram images for single artwork without permission.

Back in November 2013, Ravndahl posted to social media site Reddit looking for legal advice after Lil' Kim and her team used a zombie girl image Ravndahl created for the single artwork for "Dead Gal Walking," claiming that Kim used her image without permission or credit and posted it on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and official website. To add to the issue, Kim and her team even added their own copyright logo to Ravndahl's image.

Ravndahl claimed she contacted Kim's legal team as well as Facebook and Instagram to no avail. Though, since the initial contact and issue, Kim has deleted all mentions of Ravndahl's image without a word and released new artwork for "Dead Gal Walking."

Despite the deletion of the Ravndahl's likeness from Lil' Kim's account, the makeup artist is still looking for restitution. According to TMZ, she is now suing Lil' Kim and her team for damages, starting at a cool $150,000.

As for Lil' Kim, she seems to be blissfully unaware of the controversy surrounding the original "Dead Gal Walking" artwork. In an interview with XXL, she said, "If there were something going on, my team would know better than I would. You have to get that from my team because I really don't know what's going on."

And indeed, she could not be aware of the plagiarism in the artwork. According to IBTimes, in November, Lil' Kim tweeted thanks to artist Dusty Aceti for the artwork.
