In December 1993 at the Great Western Forum, Nirvana played their last show in Los Angeles before Kurt Cobain would sadly take his own life only 4 months later. The memory of the night, thus far, has been held in the minds of those who were there, but documentary filmmaker and friend of the band Dave Markey has now released footage he shot that night, sharing it with the world.

This rare footage is priceless for Nirvana fans. It features the band playing "All Apologies" and a cover of David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold The World."

Markey spoke about the filming, as reported by NME, and what it means to him now: "20 years ago tonight (December 30, 1993) I stood on Kurt's side of the stage at my hometown's Los Angeles Forum and captured the last set I would see of this band. A band that I had worked with, toured with; people that I would call my friends. A band that both the world and myself really loved (can't really say this has happened since). Within just a few short months it would sadly all be over. I'm glad to have documented this show, as well as their pre-fame fun in 1991."

In addition to cherished moments documented like this video, the legendary '90s band has never been forgotten, and that became very clear when Hoquiam, Washington, Cobain's hometown, recently announced that in their city, April 10, 2014 would be officially declared "Nirvana Day." Nirvana was also selected as one of the inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
