Lorde, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Metallica have been added to the performers list for the 56th annual Grammy Awards. This marks Lorde's Grammy Awards debut as she is up for four awards, including record of the year and song of the year for her No. 1 hit "Royals." She will be competing against Perry's hit "Roar" in the song of the year category, according to Billboard.

Three-time nominee Thicke will perform with the Grammy-winning band Chicago, and Metallica will be taking the stage for the first time since 1991, when they perform with China's Grammy Cultural Ambassador, Lang Lang.

Other previously announces artists include Daft Punk who will perform with Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams; Pink with fun.'s Nate Ruess (likely to play their hit "Just Give Me A Reason"); Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons; and a special group performance with Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the Grammy Awards ceremony will air live from the Los Angeles Staples enter January 26 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
