Rob Kardashian's 28th birthday came and went last week, and the one thing he did not do is post a bunch of celebratory selfies like his sisters would have. In fact, Rob has purposely kept himself out of sight for nearly a year. The last time he was photographed he was fleeing Kim Kardashian's over-the-top wedding to Kanye West last May. Kris Jenner's only son has gained a lot of weight in the last few years and has also reportedly struggled with addiction. He currently lives with his sister Khloé Kardashian, whom he has always been close to. Khloé is her brother's biggest supporter and always has his back, especially when the press comes knocking. She claims her btorher suffers from "social anxiety."

Wonderwall caught up with Khloé when she was hosting a party at 1OAK in Las Vegas and was asked how her brother is doing these days.

"I just feel, especially over the last year, Rob has become very introverted and has a kind of social anxiety. He's definitely not at his happiest place that he once was, and I know he can get to that happy place and he will. We all kind of get to a place where you don't know where to go in life or whatever, so I think it's important for him to know that he always has people to lean on and it's not unnatural for people to not know even where to begin. It's a growing process. ... I will always be his No. 1 supporter," explained Kardashian to a reporter.

While it is pretty clear Rob is struggling with several inter-connected issues, we almost have to wonder if he is the sanest one in the family. Even when he was actively a part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob just seemed like a normal guy who could not grasp why his sisters even wanted to be in the public eye every day of their lives. As the Kardashian empire grew, Rob kept backing away from the chaos.

How do you deal with such a crazy level of fame when you really do not want anything to do with it? That is the position Rob has found himself in and it is no wonder he has some type of social anxiety. It is likely the paparazzi that has caused it, not a fear of normal interactions.

Do you think Rob will eventually decide to maybe move elsewhere so he can begin at least somewhat of a normal life over again? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
