Van Morrison's Moondance is getting a reissue and -as is common with reissues of classic albums- will contain some sweet bonus material. However, where many albums would be content to throw one or two demos out there for hardcore fans to salivate over, Morrison is throwing 50 unreleased tracks on to the latest incarnation of his 1970 album.

Yes, I said 50. As in,  five times as many tracks as are on the actual album.

Via Rolling Stone:

The collection will include remastered and expanded versions of the songs, and will also feature 50 unreleased tracks, including studio outtakes of favorites like "Caravan, "Moondance" and "Into The Mystic."

"I Shall Sing," a Morrison original that he completed but left off the album, is also featured as part of the collection, and includes multiple takes of the song (spread across six tracks), plus a final mix of the finished version.

The 50 tracks will be spread across five discs. The album will also be available in two other distinct physical formats when they hit stores September 30.
