A-Trak has announced a new United States club tour for this summer titled Gold Gone Wild -- a play on words from his label Fools Gold Records. The six-date tour will take A-Trak and his two handpicked friends, AraabMuzik and Ape Drums, to six of the "Push" DJ's favorite cities in the U.S., where he will perform at some of their most well-established clubs. Araabmuzik will be along for the full tour, while Ape Drums will join for just two dates.
"I've been in the studio for the last couple months. The first thing I want to do now is play shows where I can spin whatever I want for as long as I want. The best environment for that is clubs, so I picked my six favorites in North America," said A-Trak in a statement about the tour, via Complex. "To me these are like incubators where I can try out new routines that later make their way into my festival sets. I can't wait to push my limits every night!"
The tour will take place during the month of June and start in Boston and head to Chicago, Washington, D.C., Denver, San Francisco and Austin. It is surprising not to see a New York or Montreal date in there, the two places where he currently lives and where he was born. This shows he is not biased in where his favorite cities to play are.
