Awards Season has officially begun. The Grammys are just weeks away, and now the nominees for the 2014 Brit Awards have been announced. At the top of the list are two British acts, Disclosure (collaborator Sam Smith just won BBC's Sound of 2014) and Bastille, who have four nominations each. Despite not being up for any Grammy nominations (likely due to not being eligible this year), One Direction has been nominated as well for British Single and British Group.
However, UK acts are not the only ones considered. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pink, Arcade Fire, HAIM, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Drake and Justin Timberlake are also up for nomination.
