The trailer for the upcoming film Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, has been released and features a brand new song from Eminem. On the song, titled "Forgive Me Now", Eminem declares "I am phenomenal" over gritty production and heavy bass. It's unclear if the full song will be included in the film's soundtrack.

Em posted about the teaser with a link to the trailer on Twitter, writing, "Sneak peek of some new stuff I've been working on in the @SouthPawMovie trailer. World premiere!"

Interestingly, Eminem has been attached to the boxing film since 2010, when rumors began circulating that he would be cast as the film's lead. According to NME, however Em dropped out after scheduling conflicts caused delay.

Eminem isn't the only rapper connected to the film. His collaborator 50 Cent is one of the stars of the film, playing Billy Hope's (Gyllenhaal) agent. In the trailer, Fiddy is seen giving advice to his boxer client after he starts to spiral out of control due to losing a custody battle for his daughter.

Southpaw also stars Rachel McAdams, Rita Ora, Forest Whitaker, and Naomie Harris. The film follows boxer Billy Hope as he fights his way to the top only to find that his personal life is crumbling around him. It is due out in theaters later this year.

In other Eminem news, Slim Shady recently released his entire back catalog in a 10-LP vinyl box set that includes all of his studio albums including The Slim Shady LP, Encore, The Eminem Show, Relapse, Recovery and The Marshall Mathers LP2, among others.
