Art Garfunkel, half of the iconic duo Simon & Garfunkel, is back on his feet after suffering from vocal cord paresis, and will be playing a number of dates during 2014.

"The voice is back," he said, probably using "the voice" literally versus metaphorically. "I'm in flight again. I believe I have grown through adversity.  A new creation has emerged that is truly exciting me - my stage show."

Garfunkel was forced to withdrawal from a series of reunion shows planned with Paul Simon for 2010. According to the performer, the paresis was brought on by a long history of smoking, and although he was largely healed by the end of 2010, doctors encouraged patience before hitting the road again.

The performer played a show in Cleveland during December of 2013, but this marks his first tour since a series of Simon & Garfunkel dates in Japan during 2009. The bad news is that the current schedule only seems to cater to fans in the southern United States (curious, considering Garfunkel resides in New York City).

No word yet on whether Paul Simon will be willing to give the reunion tour another go; right now the performer is preparing for his tour with Sting. For now, Garfunkel fans will have to make do with the current schedule, listed below.
