Giuliana Rancic has found herself tangled in controversy over the past several weeks, but instead of slowly fading away the drama seems to just snowball for the E! host. First there was the infamous comment that Rancic made about Zendaya Coleman on Oscar night. Sure she apologized, but when all was said and done that comment was the catalyst for Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin quitting Fashion Police before Melissa Rivers decided that it was best to put the show on hiatus. The stress has taken a toll on Rancic's personal life, leaving her looking skinnier than ever and the backlash has been pretty vicious. She has denied having an eating disorder, blaming her cancer medication for making her look too thin.

While Rancic may manage to hold on to her job at E!, her fan base is rapidly dwindling, with many believing she has an eating disorder causing her to promote an unhealthy look. Rancic spoke to People about all the recent criticism.

"I'm sorry that some people think I'm disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can't ... I look in the mirror and it's hard for me," explained the host.

Rancic went on to deny rumors of having an eating disorder, insisting instead that the cancer-suppressing medicine that she takes speeds up her metabolism.

So basically it has taken her this long to respond to the comments about being too thin? Wouldn't it have made more sense just to blame it on her medication right off the bat, squashing rumors and innuendo in the bud, rather than let the insults continue to fly? Do you believe it really is because of her medicatio, or do you think she has other problems as well? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
