Tim McGraw took home a score of country music awards for his 2013 album Two Lanes of Freedom, but that's not going to stop him from driving full throttle into 2014. The country star doubled up on his listeners' pleasures on Monday, both releasing a new single and announcing where he'd be touring during the upcoming year (a lengthy list, we might add).

The single isn't exactly McGraw's best work, but it at least affirms to fans that he's got his mind on making new music. The track, titled "Lookin' For That Girl," doesn't exactly peak, coming off as a countrified version of Train's "Hey Virginia" in its hypothetical-girl-theme. The experimentation with autotune using the hook doesn't work for McGraw, who we know can sing in tune just fine. We acknowledge ahead of time the hate we'll receive from McGraw fans for disliking the single. You can listen to the track at Entertainment Weekly's site and post your angry comment below.

Therefore, by our reckoning, the tour announcement is the more exciting of the two news breaks. McGraw opted to play it like Jason Aldean, releasing the cities that he'll visit during the tour versus announcing the actual dates or venues. What we do know is that tickets will become available on January 24 via Live Nation, and the tour will begin in California.

McGraw is still scheduled through April 12 at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas with wife Faith Hill, so you can assume the tour will start at least after that date. No word on whether Hill might come along for the ride. The full list of cities is below.
