Things are about to get a little "Radioactive" over on NBC. Today (Jan. 17), it was announced that chart-topping rockers Imagine Dragons will make its sketch comedy debut next month on Saturday Night Live. Alongside host Melissa McCarthy - who will be leading the show for the third time - Imagine Dragons will perform on the Feb. 1 episode of SNL.

The announcement was made via Saturday Night Live's official Facebook page and other social media outlets.

Imagine Dragons rise to SNL should come as no surprise. Not only has the show been slightly more rock heavy than the charts this year (with musical guests such as Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire and HAIM) but Imagine Dragons are one of the bigger musical acts. Not only can the "Demons" band fill up massive stadiums, but its also in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, lending itself to bringing in enough viewers for SNL while simultaneously promoting the music.

Unfortunately for Imagine Dragons fans, you just have to wait two more weeks.

However, it's not like Imagine Dragons is the only band performing on SNL in coming weeks. This Saturday (Jan. 18), rapper Drake will be hosting and performing, and the following Saturday will be Bastille day (with host Jonah Hill).
