When word broke that Jared Leto would be cast as the Joker in DC's Suicide Squad, one question flooded millions of brains--but what about his hair? The Requiem for a Dream actor traded in his perfectly ombred locks, nicer than most womens, for a short green cut to better emulate the super villain.

Director David Ayer, recently posted the first unified Suicide Squad cast picture to Twitter with all participants except one, Leto. The 2016 action movie is equipped with an array of talented actors and newcomers from Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akkinuoye-Agbaje, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Jai Courtney, Viola David, Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, Karen Fukuhara and Ike Barinholtz, reports MTV news.

The Joker transformation began with chopping off his hair, losing his eyebrows, dying his hair Draco Malfoy/Kim Kardashian blonde and now, the presentation of his green hair. Leto's Joker interpretation will be the first seen since Heath Ledger's Iconic performance in The Dark Knight.

Making up for Leto's lack of presence in the last shot, Ayer uploaded a picture of the actor peering out form behind a Nikon camera, reflecting one of the jokers most iconic story lines and classic comic cover, "The Killing Joke." As MTV news notes, It's uncertain if the film will heavily correlate with the story line or if Leto's version of the Joker will simply draw inspiration from it.

Suicide Squad will be released in theaters in August 2016.
