Is Brian Williams getting ready to attempt a return to an anchor desk at NBC? Well his very public outing yesterday was nothing short of a PR handler's dream. They always say that people love puppies and babies so it's probably no coincidence that Williams took a stroll with his family yesterday, while walking his daughter Allison Williams' new puppy, named Moxie. Since being suspended from NBC News back in early February, Williams has stayed mostly out of the public eye. The timing of this pretty obvious photo opportunity is hardly coincidental

According to a report by The Washington Post, "starting next month, NBC and other TV networks will begin negotiating with advertising buyers over the price of commercial airtime for next season's TV shows. The annual sales period, which involves billions of dollars of ad buys, kicks off with the networks' 'upfront' presentations, a series of razzle-dazzle meetings in which the networks attempt to woo advertisers by touting their fall schedules and trotting out some of their best-known personalities."

NBC's upfronts are scheduled for May 11 so many suspect that a decision on Williams future will be made by then, in spite of the fact that his suspension from the network will run until August. Lester Holt has stepped in for the fallen anchor and has done a respectable job of keeping NBC Nightly News afloat in the midst of this crisis. Many have speculated on Holt being named a permanent replacement for Williams, something that insiders at NBC would apparently love to see happen. Holt is apparently everything that Williams is not, including well-liked by his colleagues.

Do you think that the network is toying with the idea of bringing Williams back and this little dog-walking adventure was a test to gauge the public's reaction to even seeing the former anchor? you think that they can successfully bring him back and if so, will viewer's really be able to trust Williams reporting?
