Time magazine has released its annual list praising the 100 Most Influential People of 2015. The representatives for music this year include Kanye West, Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw. A slew of other celebrities and politicians made the list, including Lorne Michaels, Bradley Cooper and Jeb Bush.

Yeezy was included in the "Titans" section alongside Tim Cook of Apple, director Lee Daniels and wifey Kim Kardashian. Engineer Elon Musk wrote about the rapper, saying he "fought for his place in the cultural pantheon."

"Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list," Musk wrote. "The dude doesn't believe in false modesty, and he shouldn't. Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity -- he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut -- got him to where he is today."

McGraw, labeled as "country's leading light," was included in the "Artists" section with actor Chris Pratt, comedian Kevin Hart and director Richard Linklater. Jon Meacham, a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, praised the singer's enduring career.

"He moves between genres with the same down-to-earth grace that's always on display at the Nashville high school football games he never misses," Meacham wrote.

Last, but certainly not least, Swift was included in the "Icons" section with Björk, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Pope Francis. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress Mariska Hargitay paid tribute to the pop megastar.

"I'm amazed at how much earned wisdom Taylor threads into her work. She seems tuned in to the greater good, and she embraces -- thoughtfully and authentically -- the chance to contribute to the world," the actor wrote.

Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus and Carrie Underwood all made the cut last year. Lorde and Jaden Smith led the list for Most Influential Teens.
