Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's Furious 7 soundtrack song "See You Again" was the first song to overcome Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" on the Hot 100 this week, and the Paul Walker tribute track was able to do so thanks to some major streaming numbers. The single arrived online in a major way last week, busting Spotify records for the most streamed song in 24 hours and in one week.

On Monday, April 13, "See You Again" shattered Spotify's record by getting streamed over 4.2 million times, NME reports. The major plays on April 13 followed a huge week for the song, which was played over 21.9 million times between April 6 and 12. The weekly numbers also set a new high for Spotify.

Logically, the song currently sits at No. 1 on the Global Top 50 chart on Spotify and the Top Tracks in the United States playlist.

The huge Spotify streaming numbers for "See You Again" were just the cherry on top of the cake for the Khalifa's single. "See You Again" zoomed to the top of the Hot 100 this week due to massive streaming and sales numbers. In the U.S. alone, the track was played over 25 million times last week (between video and audio streaming services), according to Billboard.

"See You Again" is also the fastest-selling single of the year; it was downloaded over 464,000 times and became the best-selling single since Taylor Swift's "Blank Space."

"See You Again" is Khalifa's second No. 1 single. His breakthrough 2010 hit "Black and Yellow" also topped the charts.
