Slayer, The Replacements and Passion Pit will all headline one day of the Converse Rubber Tracks Live music festival in Boston. Chance the Rapper and Decendents will also be on hand along with some openers for each day of the event, which will run from April 27 to May 1. Tickets for the five-night festival go on sale April 20.

The Replacements will kick off the festival April 27 with a little help from Dinosaur Jr. Here is the rest of the lineup:

Tuesday, April 28: Passion Pit and Baths

Wednesday, April 29: Slayer and Doomriders

Thursday, April 30: Chance the Rapper and Action Bronson

Friday, May 1: Descendents and King Tuff

The festival takes its name from the shoe company's Rubber Tracks program, which gives local musicians the opportunity to record in studios for free. Converse runs the program in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto and Boston. Five of the acts that recorded in Boston will open each night of the festival. Those acts include The Young Leaves, Bent Shapes, Michael Christmas, Rozamov and Radclyffe Hall, Rolling Stone noted.

In February, Converse proved itself again to be a friend to musicians. The company announced a free, online library of sample loops that will be made available for performers with the help of Indaba Music.

"With so many musicians having professional recording capabilities in their homes and on their laptops, sampling recorded content has become an integral part of the music creation process," Dan Zaccagnino of Indaba said. "Indaba has been a leader in providing creative opportunities and unprecedented access to source material to musicians for a decade. Working with Converse to develop such a ground-breaking resource for musicians is truly in the spirit of both companies."
