After a long battle of leaked scripts and implementing plot changes, Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight finally has an official teaser trailer.

The clip resembles more of an informative slideshow that integrates images and text and less of a theatrical trailer, notes Moviefone. The video transcript explains the straight forward movie plot — a post-Civil-War era in which eight strangers share one cryptic secret and become trapped in a snowstorm.

Written and directed by Tarantino, The Hateful Eight has a wide-ranging cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Channing Tatum, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir and Jennifer Jason Leigh, reports Business Insider.

Known for his tendency to recycle actors and use vivid imagery, the Pulp Fiction creator implements blood spatter, explosive graphics and exciting music into the teaser along with character signatures — "The Cow Puncher" and "The Confederate" to name a few. Tarantino favorite Samuel L. Jackson will play Marquis Warren, aka "The Bounty Hunter."

Here's a full list of the films eccentric characters:

Kurt Russell — John Ruth aka "The Hangman"
Jennifer Jason Leigh — Daisy Domergue aka "The Prisoner"
Walton Goggins — Chris Mannix aka "The Sheriff"
Demian Bichir — Bob aka "The Mexican"
Tim Roth — Oswaldo Mobray aka "The Little Man"
Michael Madsen — Joe Cage aka "The Cow Puncher"
Bruce Dern — General Sandy Smithers aka "The Confederate"

The Hateful Eight is expected to see its 70 mm theatrical release on Nov. 13.
