Scooby-Doo and the gang are ready to paint their faces while cracking a new case open as they rock and roll to a new city, this time to offer assistance to a demon, starchild, catman and spaceman, KISS.

Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery will see its release in theaters over the summer as a full-length film. Eminent rock band KISS phones Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Fred and Scooby Doo of Mystery Inc. to uncover the identity of a damaging Crimson Witch. While at the amusement park KISS World, the witch attempts to summon the Destroyer, which would send the theme park and planet into annihilation. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer will all voice their own characters in the spooky animated film, reports Sterogum.

On July 10, the film will be readily available for download while on July 21, it will be sold on DVD and Blu-Ray. Other than the legendary quartet, Rock and Roll Mystery will see its fair share of guest voices including Darius Rucker, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Garry and Penny Marshall. It wouldn't be a rock and roll cartoon without including classic Kiss songs to the track list-even a brand-new, innovative song will be featured in the film, notes Rolling Stone.

Aside from the Scooby-Doo collaboration, Kiss' Gene Simmons will soon be joining forceswith WWE to create Erebus Pictures and to produce horror films, specifically Temple, which will see production over the summer. In 2003, KISS appeared alongside the Mystery Inc. once before on What's New, Scooby-Doo? and who knows, maybe a third collaboration could happen.
