Tina Knowles may have her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter to thank, for the push to marry Richard Lawson. Knowles, the newlywed, received approval from Blue Ivy to marry her husband, Lawson. Beyoncé and Jay Z's three-year-old daughter knows a good a relationship when she sees one.

In an interview with People, Ms. Tina shared how Blue Ivy suggested she marry Lawson.

"[In September] we went on a boat with Beyoncé and Jay Z for her birthday, and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, 'Oh, ya'll look beautiful. When are ya'll getting married?'" Knowles told People.

It was a good question from the inquisitive child of Beyoncé and Jay Z. Knowles shared that her hubby Lawson, then asked Blue if she would approve of their marriage. Once she did, Knowles shared that that was in fact the first time the couple seriously discussed getting married.

Blue's job was not done there. The young matchmaker served as the flower girl in the couple's wedding. Ms. Tina married her fiancé Lawson on April 12 on a yacht named "Eternity," that held 300 guests. She revealed the news of her engagement during a speech for the Texas Women's Empowerment Foundation.

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show reported Ms. Tina in 2014, revealing how she met Lawson and how the pair initially got hitched. They quoted the newlywed explaining,

"We went to lunch and he said, 'I want to support you during this time,' because Mathew-he's friends with Mathew, too-just got married yesterday," she said according to the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. "So he came to Houston, I went to LA afterwards. It's been now a year and five months and I'm in a committed relationship with that handsome man! And I'm in my happiest I been in a long, long time."
