Tyler, The Creator's new album Cherry Bomb has managed to not make it to the shelves of certain retailers, and the defiant Odd Future leader didn't even have to open his mouth. Just like Beyoncé's surprise released album, Target stores are refusing to stock Cherry Bomb.

Tyler, The Creator announced on his Twitter today (April 24) that Target will not be selling Cherry Bomb in its stores or on its website because the album was released first on iTunes and other digital retailers.

Though the album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, Complex points out that Tyler, The Creator may be missing out on some crucial sales because of Target's exclusion. The physical versions of Cherry Bomb can come with one of five different album covers. However, fans are still able to buy the CDs from Best Buy.

Target's exclusionary policy on digital first releases is nothing new. The retailer made big headlines in December 2013 when it would not stock Beyoncé's Beyoncé after she first released the album by surprise on iTunes.

"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections" Target spokeswoman Erica Julkowski said about not selling Beyoncé.

Amazon, which first refused to sell physical copies of Beyoncé, does seem to be selling CDs of Cherry Bomb.
