Even though iconic rockers Weezer released one of 2014's best albums in Everything Will Be Alright in the End, they treated their fans to a great new song in this week's "Everybody Needs Salvation." They're slowly, but surely getting back to their earlier influences and sound in this song, so we recommend it for longtime fans hoping for more Pinkerton songs!

Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, also known as the electronic music duo The Chemical Brothers debuted a brand new song this week entitled "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted." It's a hypnotic scorcher that has some pretty vocal melodies mixed with techno overtones. Take a listen to this new tune right here:

My Morning Jacket might have suffered an album leak this past week, but that doesn't mean the rockers are done sharing new music off of the upcoming release The Waterfall. If you didn't listen to the leaked songs, this week held a great new track in "Believe (Nobody Knows)." Head over to NPR to take a listen (the new song starts around the 1:40 mark)!

This week we were treated to some great new covers, one of which comes from the incomparable Britney Spears! Teaming up with producer Giorgio Moroder, the pop star took on Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner," making it one of the coolest covers of the year! Listen to it right here!

Speaking of great covers, this week Mikal Cronin shared two 8-bit versions of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Walkmen tunes "On Avery Island" and "Tenley Town," respectfully. Check out these interesting new takes on these songs right here!

Where there are covers, there are also remixes! This past week, Fabrizio Moretti of The Strokes released a remix of Spoon's song, "Inside Out." Have a listen to this new track here!

Eternal Summers has us so excited for new music this year. This week, the Virginia-based dream pop outfit released the new song "Gold and Stone," which is a track off of the upcoming album of the same name. We think that 2015 is the year this band takes off, so take a listen to this track right here to get ahead of the masses!

RIYL: Best Coast, Pity Sex, Haim

Mumford & Sons are releasing their electric album Wilder Minds next week, and the American band shared the new track, "Snake Eyes" this past week in a live performance video released online. Check it out right here!

On Record Store Day 2015, Father John Misty released a great new 7inch record with some cool new tracks. This week, he shared one of those songs online - "Never Been a Woman." You can check this song out right here!

Torres is the artist to watch in 2015. This week, the singer-songwriter released "Cowboy Guilt," which is a little brighter than her past offerings, but equally as impressive. She creates a great guitar and vocal melody pairing and some catchy refrains as well. Listen to this new song right here:

RIYL: Sharon Van Etten, Cat Power

There are a ton of new albums coming out in the next few months, and this mixtape features plenty of examples of these upcoming records. Share this week's mix with those excited about the 2015 release schedule! This will surely add to their excitement.
