Former Clipse member Pusha T is a major supporter of BAPE. BAPE recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary with a limited anniversary collaboration with Pusha T, including a performance by the rapper. Pusha T thinks the BAPE brand is "the greatest of all time".

In an interview with XXL, Pusha T shared why he respects the brand.

"BAPE is the greatest of all time when it comes to street wear culture to me," Pusha T told XXL. "I feel like there's no other street wear brand that has made their brand such a lifestyle-type of brand. The importance of branding has never been executed as well in street wear culture other than BAPE. I'm different. I've been going to BAPE anniversary parties since 2003 in Japan. You know, Nigo's Rolls Royce, the head of it, had BAPE interior and the head of the Rolls Royce came up, like, diamond encrusted. I'm from that era of this. I was there at the BAPE cafe when I didn't know BAPE had a cafe. I was mind blown, as a lover of fashion, as a kid from Virginia coming there, [it] was too much for me."

BAPE will officially release their Pusha T collaboration this Saturday, May 2. The rapper explained to XXL that in order for artists and clothing brands to properly collaborate, there needs to be a "story". Pusha T believes the brand tells a story and links people and fans back to the rapper.

Pusha T released his debut solo album My Name is My Name in 2013, featuring tracks like "Sweet Serenade" that features Chris Brown. The rapper is working on his next solo album King Push. In an interview with Vibe, Pusha T promises that his next album will be the "hip-hop album of the year, again."
