The semi-autobiographical film about the life of Daft Punk and the French house scene in the 1990s, Eden has released its official movie trailer. The film follows Paul, played by Félix de Givry) and his friend Stan as they form their own electronic music producer/DJ duo in Paris. Their film is more than just a rave film as it dives into the character's relationships with their parents, love interests and drug use.

Eden was directed by Mia Hansen-Løve and co-written by her brother Sven, who was a prominent figure in pioneering the 1990s French Touch scene. The movie is based on many of his experiences in the early French house underground scene, as well as a parallel storyline loosely based on the lives of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, better known as Daft Punk, who Sven counts as friends and colleagues. Both Bangalter and Homen-Christo will appear in the film, just not as themselves. They will be bit characters.

According to Beatport, the film's soundtrack boasts an impressive soundtrack featuring classic house and garage selections from Frankie Knuckles, Octave One, Paul Johnson, Joey Beltram, Kings of Tomorrow and more.

Eden wouldn't be complete without actual music from Daft Punk and the two robots licensed three of their songs to Mia and Sven for $3,700 each, instead of the possible millions which would have been the potential cost for a sync.

The movie has been viewed in film festivals all over the world at the New York, Toronto, San Sebastian, San Francisco and Sundance.

It will premiere in the United States officially on June 19 in theaters in New York City and Los Angeles and from there expand out to more locals.
