Last month, Mobb Deep celebrated the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, The Infamous. As the NBA Playoffs heat up, the Queens duo decided to drop a remix to their classic "Survival of the Fittest" for ESPN.

As noted by XXL, the song will play during the Eastern and Western Conference Finals. Both Conferences are set to begin next week.

Mobb Deep also announced that they will be releasing a Survival of the Fittest EP, which will include the new remix.

Check out the tracklist below.

02. Survival Of The Fittest (ESPN Remix) Produced By Havoc & Additional Keys By Yung Fokus

The original version of "Survival of the Fittest" was featured on The Infamous and landed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart along with "Shook Ones Pt. II." The album went on to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

While recently discussing the making of the album with Complex, Havoc revealed that he nearly trashed the two songs.

"I just popped the sample up and I almost even erased it because I didn't even really like it too much," he said, in reference to "Shook Ones Pt. II." "[Laughs.] At that time I was always in the house alone by myself making beats and sometimes if I didn't have somebody to co-sign it, I'd be like, 'F*ck it, whatever.'"

The track that later became "Survival Of The Fittest" was almost discarded until Prodigy convinced his partner to let the rest of the crew hear it and they ultimately began writing verses to the track.
