Though the 2015 Billboard Music Awards celebrated the biggest hits of the last 12 months, current hits got their due on Sunday night (May 17) as well. Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth and Lindsey Stirling took to the stage at the to perform a touching rendition of "See You Again," which has held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 Chart for five weeks.

Ludacris, who starred in the Fast and Furious franchise, dedicated the sentimental performance to the late Paul Walker, fully equipped with clips from Furious 7, sweeping the screen in the background. Khalifa let loose in a relaxed outfit--shoeless, rocking an open shirt, and he commanded the stage with goofy and captivating dance moves. While Puth drew attention with his soft deliverance, Stirling played the violin with vigor.

The emotional ballad was written specifically for the seventh installment of the car enthusiast franchise after Paul Walker tragically died in an automobile accident in 2013. Stirlings soft strings, Khalifa's stage presence and Puth's falsetto stimulated wet eyes and a standing ovation from the crowd.

"7 million hits in 2 hours. i know you are watching down on all of us paul, the whole world is thinking of you," Puth wrote in reference to the record-breaking video release.
