Hip-hop fans can look forward to March 4, as at least two big hip-hop releases will be dropping on that date. Rap collective the A$AP Mob has confirmed that its anticipated EP L.O.R.D. will debut during the first week of March, and Rick Ross seems to have settled on the date for the release of Mastermind as well. Hip-hop tends to outdo all other genres when it comes to shuffling release dates, so don't be surprised if plans change during the next month however. Both of these projects have already seen "official" drop dates come and go.

L.O.R.D. has seen rumors for a while now, but most reasonable people expect there to be organizational problems when an (at least) 13-member collective tries to make a mixtape. A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg proved the commercial appeal of the A$AP brand with their own solo albums during 2013, so a tape seemed like a good idea. Initial reports from A$AP Yams suggested the project would drop as soon as October of 2013, but lo. It did not. The group dropped a single, "Trillmatic," early in December. so it's fair to assume this record is just about ready to go.

Ross took the opposite path of most rappers when he announced that his album release date had changed: He actually moved it up. The Boss revealed the deluxe edition artwork for Mastermind on Friday, but also noted that the album's release had been moved up to March 4...more than nine months earlier than the previously stated date of December 17, which he had tweeted during October. Ross's single may be "The Devil Is A Lie," but it seems like his album release dates might be as well.
