It seems (we'll use the present tense) that MGM Grand and its Hakkasan nightclub have seized the top spot in the Las Vegas battle for club supremacy. However Wynn and its own collection of dance venues—including XS, Encore Beach Club, Surrender and Tryst—have struck back, revealing its own list of residencies for 2014.

There's a serious collection of EDM DJ's that will be performing at the Wynn this year: David Guetta, Avicii, Zedd and Diplo (as well as his Major Lazer project) are all on the list. Impressive as that may sound, it still falls a bit short of Hakkasan in terms of electronic artists. That room will feature returning residents Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Hardwell and Steve Aoki, as well as new pickup Afrojack. The latter's appearance at Hakkasan is especially painful for XS, as the DJ was a former resident there before accepting a higher contract offer from MGM's venue.

As MGM seems to have taken the EDM trophy this year, Wynn's collection of clubs is looking to take back some club-goers by way of hip-hop music. Among the hip-hop producers that will man the tables this year will be will.i.am, Lil Jon and Jermaine Dupri, whereas straight performers will include R&B vocalist Ne-Yo and four-time Grammy winners Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

The full list of performers appearing at Wynn establishments as part of a residency this year: Adrian Lux, Akon, AN21, Avicii, Cazzette, David Guetta, Deniz Koyu, Deorro, Dillon Francis, Diplo, DJ Snake, Fedde Le Grand, Grandtheft, Jermaine Dupri, JusSke, Lil Jon, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Madeon, Major Lazer, MAKJ, Manufactured Superstars, Martin Solveig, Max Vangeli, Morgan Page, Ne-Yo, Paper Diamond, Redfoo, RL Grime, Ryan Lewis (DJ set), Skrillex (not exclusively at Wynn venues), Steve Angello, TJR, Tommy Trash, will.i.am, Will Sparks, Wolfgang Gartner, and Zedd.

A full schedule is forthcoming.
