Brooklyn natives The Men have made a name for themselves by continuing to reinvent their sound, whether it was true punk rock in the beginning when they formed in 2008 or the more country and folk inspired Open Your Heart released in 2012. Then they went in a truly different direction when they released the folky acoustic album Campfire Songs in 2013.

Now they've taken another interesting departure by going with a more soulful sound for "Another Night," which will appear on the band's upcoming album Tomorrow's Hits.

"We had been kickin' the horns idea around for a little while, thinking about Fun House by the Stooges, Exile on Main Street by the Stones and all those old classics Stax and Motown records," singer-guitarist Mark Perro told Rolling Stone. "[Bassist] Ben Greenberg called up some of his jazz buddies to come in for a few hours - we tracked it entirely live, with them in the room with us. There are no overdubs on this one. It's just the sound of the seven of us going for it."

This new song demonstrates how The Men can really embrace new genres while still staying true to their style of production and ability to really tell a story with the music. "Another Night" is a love story that symbolic displays what that kind of emotional journey can be like by not being too over produced or tight. It still has some of the grit that The Men do so well.

Tomorrow's Hits is set for release on March 4 and The Men will hit the road around that same time. Check out the new track here.
