All of the teasing and hype ended up helping Taylor Swift in the end. Today (May 21), VEVO announced that after the pop superstar debuted her "Bad Blood" music video at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, it broke the record for the most-viewed clip in 24 hours.

"Bad Blood" was viewed 20.1 million times in 24 hours on VEVO, Billboard reports, easily grabbing the most-viewed title from the former No. 1, Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," which debuted with a massive 19.6 million views upon its release in August 2014. But, nobody can defy the power of Swift and her besties.

Other former VEVO most-viewed videos include One Direction's "Best Night Ever," Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop" and Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat."

The huge debut of "Bad Blood" comes as no real surprise when one thinks about the hype surrounding the music video. For two weeks, Swift teased the release of her music video on Instagram, revealing one by one which of her many female BFFs would appear in the clip.

By its debut, everyone from Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Zendaya, Lily Aldridge, Cara Delevingne, Cindy Crawford, Jessica Alba, Hailee Steinfeld and more appeared in the music video in cameos that speed by faster than the bullet holes than Band-Aids can't quite fix.

The music video for "Bad Blood" also debuted a new version of the 1989 single, heavily featuring Kendrick Lamar, who of course, also appears in the music video.

"Bad Blood" is the fourth single and music video from Swift's October 2014 album 1989. It follows the release of "Shake it Off," "Blank Space" and "Style."
