If you've ever had a beloved pet, it's bets to get your tissues ready this Memorial Day weekend. Today (May 22), Avicii released the new lyric video for his latest Stories single "Waiting for Love," and it tells the heartwarming story of a puppy looking to save his owner.
Continuing in the theme of making lyric video almost as big of a production as a music video itself, "Waiting for Love" enlisted a team of animators to tell the story between a boy and his dog - one of the most timeless bonds there is in life.
Against a beige backdrop, the pencil drawn boy goes off for an adventure. As the lyrics for "Waiting for Love" detail the days of the week, time passes in the fictional story, and it shows that it's been quite a few days since man and his best friend had been united.
Instead of lying there waiting, the dog goes out on the search for his owner, traversing a variety of terrains. At one point, the elements get to be too much for the pooch and he almost gives up. But, as he drifts into nothingness, memories of a happy home life together surface in the dog's mind. Despite bruises and scratches and fatigue, he soldiers on.
And, well, the ending will leave you with happy tears.

"Waiting for Love" is the latest track to be released from Avicii's sophomore effort Stories, due out later this year. Stories acts as the follow-up to the DJ's 2013 breakout effort True.
