Bad news or good news for country music fans, depending on what part of the country they live in. We reported during January that Shania Twain could potentially be gearing up for a tour, as she was headed to play her first Canadian show in years at the Calgary Stampede in Alberta. The performer just revealed however that she'll actually be heading back to Las Vegas to add another leg to her "Still The One" residency at Caesar's Palace.

All the cards were there. Twain has boosted her talk of a new album since the second half of 2013, and her website was undergoing a revamp as of January. However, Twain hasn't released a new LP since 2002's Up!, and a new album has been in discussion for more than five years, so more talk doesn't necessarily do us much good. The new website turned out to be...just a new website. New albums often mean new themes on the website, and new albums need supporting tours, and Twain's first Canadian show in forever seemed like the final piece in the steps leading up to the announcement of her first tour since 2004.

Instead, it all just led up to another 21 dates at Caesar's Palace.

"Performing the first year of 'Shania: Still the One' at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was a dream come true for me," she said in a statement, not making us feel any better about our disappointment. "It's so heartwarming to see fans from all over the world to come to see the show night after night and to feel their support and love. I'm having such a great time in Vegas that I can't wait to share more shows with fans."
