Neil Young has decided to embark on a political music journey with his new protest LP The Monsanto Years, with the help of Willie Nelson's sons Lukas and Micah in Promise of the Real. The LP is due out on June 16 but a video for "Rock Starbucks" has been unleashed on the Internet via Democracy Now.

Once a frequent Starbucks goer, Young decided to boycott the lucrative company upon affiliation with GMO giant Monsanto. "I want a cup of coffee, but I don't want a GMO/I love to start my day off without helping Monsanto," Young sings on the informational track, as he and Promise of the Real toss hollow coffee cups at the camera. "Monsanto, let our farmers grow what they want to grow."

On April 16, during a secret show at California's SLO Brewing Co., Young unveiled the single along with 10 others most likely found on The Monsanto Years. After reports were made that Starbucks was uninvolved in the Monsanto lawsuit against Vermont, Young still stood by his decision to reject the coffee company.

"Still no lattes for me folks. I am not going to support a company that actively tries to defeat the will of the people by fighting their right to know what is in the food they eat," Young wrote on his official website. "In communications with Starbucks the company was unresponsive to the direct question on whether Starbuck's coffee product contained GMOs."

"Nobody likes Monsanto," Lukas Nelson told Rolling Stone. "Nobody wants GMOs in their food, or at least they want to know if they're in there so they can say, 'No' if they want. I'm really proud to be on this side of history with Neil."

Promise of the Real and Young will kick off their Rebel Content summer tour visiting a state he's never performed in before, Vermont. Perhaps the concert is a gift for Vermont's battle against Monsanto and food labeling laws.
