Mama June Shannon of Honey Boo Boo fame raised a real ruckus earlier this week when TLC dragged its feet about shelving 19 Kids and Counting in the midst of Josh Duggar's sex scandal. By now everyone seems to be aware of the fact that Duggar has admitted to molesting five different girls when he was about 14 years old. The fact that the family chose to sweet it under the rug for a year before even reaching out to get their family any kind of help has really struck a negative chord with many of their former biggest supporters. While the network eventually did pull the family's reality show from the air, Shannon is still threatening to sue for a million bucks!

According to an exclusive report, "Mama June's lawyer tells TMZ, he gave the network the demand Friday, claiming the family's rights were violated when TLC yanked the show hours after TMZ posted a pic of June with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel. They say Josh Duggar's conduct was far worse, with fewer consequences. The attorney told TLC the family is willing to work for the same terms as before and they are all on board."

Here's the catch: If TLC doesn't work out a deal then Shannon's attorney intends to file a lawsuit next week. He also believes that he can secure a million-dollar judgment if this situation does end up in court. So far, TLC has yet to respond to the demands. The network has been blasted for its' side-show programming that seems destined to lend itself to scandalous situations. If that really has become the opinion of the general public then it's hard to imagine them agreeing to bring back Honey Boo Boo, isn't it?

If Shannon's family is intended to be a real representation of a typical American family then TLC likely doesn't want to look like they support a mother of four daughters dating a sex offender, right? How do you think that they will respond to her new demands? What about TLC's unique programing? Do you think they're going to make some changes? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
