The Icelandic indie-folk group known as Of Monsters and Men has officially announced tour dates for their North American headline tour, hitting the road to support their sophomore album, Beneath the Skin.

Following their debut album, My Head is an Animal, their second studio LP will be released on June 9 via Republic Records. Kicking off the tour in Calgary on August 5, the five-piece will span the continent, concluding with a show at San Diego's Cal Cost Credit Union Open Air Theatre on October 17. Tickets can be purchased through a special pre-sale offer on the bands official site tomorrow, while general sales launch on June 5. The North American tour is just an addition to Of Monsters and Men's jam-packed festival appearances including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Sasquatch, Austin City Limits, Toronto Urban Roots Festival and more.

Aside from major touring news, the band released their latest track off of their sophomore LP. "Hunger" comes fully equipped with an official lyric video. The fresh track made its debut today on Nylon.com and is available for instant download upon purchasing Beneath the Skin. Along with the album pre-order fans will get access to instant downloads of "Crystals," "I am the Storm," and "Empire."

"The first idea for 'Hunger' came on our last tour. I was always playing this one verse again and again on the bus, obsessing over it. Some songs kind of do that to you. So it was in the works for a long time before we actually started making a song out of it," front woman Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir tells of the latest single, according to a press release. Furthermore, the multi-platinum group will release behind-the-scenes, documentary footage clips each week until the album debuts on June 9, giving fans insight into the record making process, lyric choice and production.

Since the band's eruption upon releasing "Little Talks," they've made appearances at a stretch of festivals as well as television shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Graham Norton Show, and Saturday Night Live.
