Planetshakers
Planetshakers is returning to the states in 2014 for two conferences. From March 7th to 8th, the group will be in San Diego. Then from March 20th to 22nd, they will be in Dallas, Texas.
In 1997, the conference started out with only 300 people attending in Australia. Since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds, with tens of thousands attending gatherings at events all around the world. A church was born in 2004 from the movement. Since then, the Planetshakers City Church has become the fastest growing church in Australian history.
With a goal of seeing every person that attends empowered, transformed and equipped to fulfill their God-given destiny, thousands are anticipated to attend the Planetshakers Awakening events to hear compelling messages from speakers Russell Evans, Sam Evans, Sergio De La Mora, Ben Dailey and more, as well as worship music by Dove Award-nominated Planetshakers Band.
During each Awakening event, those who attend will be able to participate in three different streams of activities, including Leadership, Youth and Worship & Creative Arts. The Leadership stream will offer new ideas and principles for discipleship. The Youth stream will equip those in high school and/or those who work in high school ministry. The Worship & Creative Arts stream will feed worship leaders, songwriters and others in the creative endeavors of a church to minister powerfully and go deeper in their personal relationship with God in order to effectively lead others in worship.
In a press release, Russell Evans, Planetshakers’ founder/director and senior pastor of Planetshakers City Church, a multi-campus, 9,500-member congregation in Melbourne, talked about the conferences, saying, "Through passionate praise and worship, inspirational teaching and powerful acts of the Holy Spirit, it’s our desire to create an environment where you can be touched and impacted by God like never before. As we join together to seek God and love people, we will become the Church that Jesus talked about in the last days. Registration is now open for the U.S. conferences as well as a conference in Melbourne (April 14th - 17th) and one in Maylaysia next year (January 22nd - 24th).
